Girteka Logistics introduced LEAN methodology more than a year ago and already achieved first award. Lean.lt, biggest company in Lithuania, helping companies to introduce LEAN practices into their daily work, awarded Girteka Logistics as “Discipline of the Year” in their annual wards.
According to organizers, “Discipline of the Year” nomination stresses importance not only to get involved into LEAN methodologies, but to constantly keep focus on LEAN system as well.
Girteka Logistics showed an excellent example how company, with as many as 7,000 employees, can keep full focus and discipline while deploying new and more effective business processes. Throughout the year Girteka Logistics kept task execution percent at 95.Task execution of the company was as high as 95 percent.
The competition aims to encourage businesses to share their best practices and thank engaged employees for their ideas and collaboration. This year awards were nominated five categories: “Kaizen of the Year”, “Involvement of the Year”, “Discipline of the Year”, and “Result of the Year”.
The competition is judged by the practitioners of LEAN methodology.
