On October 2, Lithuanian Road Administration under the Ministry of Transport and Communications and Lithuanian Post started the campaign “Be visible”. More than 20000 light reflectors will be distributed free of charge to people in the regions to remind them of their importance in protecting lives on the roads.

Rokas Masiulis, Minister of Transport and Communications, opened the campaign in Vievis. The town’s inhabitants were invited to visit the Educational Light Reflector Zone set up in a Girteka Logistics semitrailer. Here, in complete darkness, with a flashlight, visitors could read the information, assess the visibility in the dark and remember how to properly wear light reflectors. Consultations were provided by specialists of the Ministry of Transport and Communications and the Lithuanian Road Administration under the Ministry of Transport and Communications.115 post offices in all regions of Lithuania will take part in the month-long campaign, during which postal workers will distribute light reflectors among senior citizens and large families living in remote areas and villages. One will also have an opportunity to get a light reflector directly from a post office.

Girteka Logistics, as one of the largest transport companies in Europe, with a fleet of 5000 trucks and 5500 semi-trailers, is pleased to be able to contribute to the promotion of road safety throughout Lithuania.
