A senior delegation of Japanese businessmen today visited Girteka Logistics to expand bi-lateral trade between our two countries.
The delegation was headed by Mr. Shigehiro Komaru, President and CEO of Fukuýama Transporting Co. LTd, Mr. Komaru is also the Lithuanian Honorary Council in Japan.
Shigehiro Komaru is the President of Fukuyama Transporting Co., the corporation, founded in 1948, that engages in transportation and logistics in the whole of Asia, has over 40 affiliated companies that together employ about 24 thousand workers, have about 400 logistics centres and 16 thousand vehicles.
During the delegations visit Girteka Logistics showed its LEAN methodology implemented in all aspects of daily operations, from commercial departments, warehouses to garages.
“We warmly welcome this delegation, in 25 years of diplomatic relations, Japan has become Lithuania’s main regional partner in the fields of export of Lithuanian goods, science and research and incoming tourism” noted Kristian Kaas Mortensen, CCO of Girteka Logistics.
