At the end of September, Girteka Logistics took part in the birthday of the Lithuanian Police celebrated in Vilnius Cathedral Square. One of the leading transport and logistics companies in Europe and the CIS countries brought two semi-trailers to the celebration. One of them was equipped with a stage, while the other had an educational light reflector zone, where the guests were met by police officers.
The event began with cadets of the Lithuanian Police School taking a solemn oath. Minister of the Interior Eimutis Misiūnas and Police Commissioner General Linas Pernavas made welcoming speeches. The welcome speech of President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė was read by her adviser Živilė Šatūnienė. Lithuanian Interior Ministry Representative Orchestra presented its musical program.
The event featured shows by the mounted police company, canine handlers and their pets, mobile police, moto-acrobats, and Lithuanian Police Anti-terrorist Operations Unit ARAS, brought to the event by a helicopter. There was also an interactive zone introducing the public to police activities, and an entertainment space for children.The guests had an opportunity to get acquainted with the special means, the mobile police headquarters, the latest and armed police cars and motorcycles. At present, the Lithuanian Police consists of about 10,000 officers.
The musical highlight of the event – concert by Donatas and Arifas from the well-known group Filtered Tools on the stage of the Girteka Logistics semi-trailer. On the huge built-in screen, people could watch live performances broadcast on LNK GO.
