At the beginning of the year, Girteka Logistics, one of the leading transport and logistics companies in Europe, has opened a transport base in Poznan, Poland. After half a year, the polish unit is celebrating its successful expansion with a fleet of more than 100 own trucks.
The Poznan unit did not have a single truck at the opening day, and today base manager Vitalijus Daukšys is enjoying a great start: “It has only been 6 months since the unit opened, but we already have a 100-truck fleet with 219 professional drivers, who train at our own Drivers’ Academy, located on the unit’s premises, and will go on to provide quality services. We plan to keep growing to reach 300 trucks and have about 750 drivers this year”.The transport unit is located in a geographically convenient location, just 200 km from the German border, close to one of Europe’s main A2 highway and most of our customers are located nearby.
The unit runs the Drivers’ Academy, where drivers study and take tests. The size of the unit is 5,000 square meters, but that is enough to meet all operational needs. The unit has a fully equipped kitchen for drivers, a lounge area, a waiting room, a shower, washing and drying machines, and everything else needed between truck trips.
