Girteka, the largest asset-based transportation company in Europe, is successfully continuing the process of business modernisation. In cooperation with the software development giant SAP and other IT solution companies, Girteka is implementing probably the largest digitalisation of business in the country recently. In order to achieve this, the company is looking for over 100 business process, analysis and IT professionals. The number of experts in these areas is expected to double by the end of next year.

Attraction centre – exceptional projects and tools

“The breakthrough of information technology is currently the main tool for business to develop successfully and move forward. After completing the preparations and taking the first solid steps, today we are finally moving on to the next stage, which requires a strong team. In exchange, we promise exceptional experience that will not be available anywhere else in Lithuania,” says Martynas Sarapinas, Chief Information Officer at Girteka.

The company has announced that it seeks to attract candidates not only by providing an opportunity to contribute to perhaps the largest digitization project in the country recently. A big advantage for new colleagues is the opportunity to work on the implementation of the company’s SAP products – SAP S/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP SuccessFactors together with experts in their field who have already mastered these tools in the company.

Exceptional opportunity for financial analysts

According to Girteka’s representatives, the company will pay special attention to the search for data analysts who are going to work with financial data analysis. Girteka is currently looking for over 30 such specialists.

“Together with analysts who have chosen Girteka for the next stage of their career, we will develop and use a mega-volume, future data analysis system. We are now able to offer an extraordinary opportunity to work with big data and enjoy the opportunities and benefits of business analysis,” says Vytenis Šuklys, Chief Financial Officer at Girteka.

More recently, Girteka has also announced that it intends to become one of the largest logistics companies in Europe by 2026. The company will achieve this by doubling its sales revenue and investing in high-quality business growth – process improvement, personnel management, and digitization. At least EUR 50 million will be invested in the transformation program.

More advantages for the bigger team

At the beginning of the upcoming year, Girteka team will start working in a new office, Girteka Park, reminiscent of a natural oasis with its interior solutions, located in the best accessible area of Vilnius by public transport – Laisvės Avenue. Work will be based on the principle of cooperation – colleagues will be able to constantly change workplaces, work both in areas that ensure privacy and in spaces specially adapted for work in teams. This will create a better opportunity to cooperate with each other, especially with colleagues working in different fields.

At the beginning of the summer, the company’s employees started working according to a hybrid work model. In this way, colleagues could work part-time in the office and part-time remotely, with the possibility to choose to work not only in Lithuania, but also in the countries belonging to the EU and the Schengen area. Taking into account the epidemiological situation in Lithuania, the company currently encourages employees to protect themselves and others and to work remotely as much as it is possible.
