The “ECO League” motivational program of efficient and environmentally friendly driving, which was launched in 2018, continues successfully! For the 6th time we have awarded our drivers for excellent results.
On September 6, the award ceremony for the winner of the 6th season took place in the transport division of the Girteka Logistics group of companies in Poznan. The winner became Andrii Chernov with the economical driving score of 95.18 points!
The award ceremony was opened by the head of the Training Center Karolina Žekaitė, in her congratulatory speech she noted that: “The team of the Training Center of the Girteka Logistics is very pleased with the fact that our drivers often turn to instructors for the advice and tries to adhere the received advice and to show excellent results in eco-driving. Our team is working hard, trying to improve the knowledge and skills of drivers.”
The leaders of the Girteka Logistics, employees of the training center and drivers gathered at the event to congratulate the winner. Chief Transport Officer of Girteka Logistics group of companies Mindaugas Paulauskas said congratulatory words:
“We are glad that such projects as the “ECO League” increases the quality and quantity of our services. This provides us with a position of first choice for our clients and colleagues. All our transport divisions participate in the motivational project for ecological and economic driving “ECO League” and today we have gathered for the first time at the award ceremony in the Polish division of the group of companies Girteka Logistics! This victory is not only of our driver, but also of our entire organization also. It is an indicator that in all our divisions work professional drivers! Thanks to all our drivers for their responsibility in this hard work, as well as for safe and environmentally friendly driving!”
During the event, we invited the driver for a short interview, in which Andrii shared that before his career as an international truck driver, he had tried many specialties, such as: operator, photo retouching specialist, cashier, etc. In 2018, working in a Berlin transport company, partly as a dispatcher and partly as a driver, he realized that he likes driver profession, and it will help him to realize his plans. Andrii firmly decided to become an international truck driver and he began to gradually prepare for this profession – he received a CE category, a digital tachograph card and even updated his mobile phone.
According to Andrii, a good friend recommended him a job in the Girteka Logistics group of companies. Our gold partner in Ukraine – agency “Narvis”- helped Andrii with the employment. Employment went quickly and smoothly. Andrii started to work in our transport division in Poland and became the first driver in the Polish park who brought victory.
According to the driver, such motivational programs as “ECO League” are very useful and necessary. They motivate drivers to do their jobs better. It is also a kind of competition between colleagues. However, according to Andrii, he did not expect to win in the “ECO League”.
“My goal was to improve my results. With each trip, I tried to score 5-10 points more, thereby raising the bar for myself.” – says the driver.
Finally, Andrii advised his colleagues not to hurry while working this difficult job and wished to all the drivers to be patient.
Season 7 of “ECO League” has already begun and will last until December 31st. Good luck to all participants!
