On September 5, an extraordinary performance took place at the palace of Grand Dukes – for the first time, an opera performance was shown in a trailer. The Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theater, together with Girteka Logisitcs, joined forces in the project “Traveling Opera”., with the goal of bringing opera performances closer to people.
“We are very proud to be a part of such a wonderful project. We are glad that with our help the opera performance can be delivered to the farthest towns of Lithuania.“ – says Kristian Kaas Mortensen, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Girteka Logistics. The traveling opera project will last a whole month and will end at the beginning of October, at the Art Vilnius festival.
The opera shown in the Girteka Logistics semi-trailer – “La Serva Padrona” – is about a maid aspiring to become a housewife, ingeniously fooling her master. Love and wittiness eventually triumph: everyone gathered by the truck become guests of the maid and master’s wedding.
