Experienced logistics leader joins Thermo-Transit Group as new CEO

Thermo-Transit Group, a leading temperature-controlled logistics provider in Scandinavia, today announces the appointment of Mirza Sabanovic as its new CEO, effective June 30, 2025. 

Mirza brings over 25 years of international and Scandinavian experience in logistics and transportation. He joins Thermo-Transit from DFDS and before that NTEX AS where he is widely recognized for his hands-on leadership style, strong operational expertise, and ability to build customer-driven, high-performing teams. 

Mirza moved to Norway at the age of 12 and has lived there for more than three decades. He brings a deep understanding of both Nordic markets and international logistics operations. 

“I’m truly excited to join Thermo-Transit and lead a company that plays such an essential role in connecting Scandinavia and Europe through high-quality, temperature-controlled logistic,” says Mirza Sabanovic. “I see great potential in the company and its people. Mirza brings deep knowledge of the logistics sector, with a proven track record in driving operational excellence and customer-driven transformation. He emphasizes open communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement as key leadership principles. 

“I believe in empowering teams, fostering open communication, and leading by example.” Sabanovic adds. “My work ethic is rooted in dedication and a commitment to continuous improvement. I’m a firm believer that the best solutions come from diverse perspectives and that every challenge is an opportunity to learn and grow.” 

Former CEO Jens Sode has decided to pursue new career opportunities but will remain with the company as Advisor to CEO until the end of 2025 to ensure continuity during the transition. 

Thermo-Transit Group continues to play a key role in delivering temperature-controlled logistics across Scandinavia and beyond. With this leadership transition, the company reaffirms its commitment to operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and strategic growth.
